Kevin is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University’s Culinary Program and completed his education at Seton Hall University. Kevin began his career at The Hilton Hotel in Short Hills, NJ, where he worked under the direction of Chef Richard Kennedy. While there, Kevin led the re-opening of the dining room which received some of the highest culinary accolades in the state. Kevin then went on to be the Executive Chef and Owner of The Cargo Café in Staten Island, NY. Since joining Villa Restaurant Group in 2011, Kevin has helped focus the creative menu development for 40NORTH and each of its unique brands. “Flavor should be clean and simple,” Kevin explains. “I enjoy taking familiar flavors and dishes and presenting them in a new and exciting way that surprises my guests. Comfort can be cutting edge if you are innovative in your technique.”

Dan joined the 40North Team in 2015, where he was immediately instrumental in leading the culinary team at The Office Tavern Grill in Summit, NJ. Soon after, Dan’s skills earned him the additional culinary duties right next door at Piattino – A Neighborhood Bistro. Currently, Dan is serving as the Executive Chef at The Black Horse Tavern & Pub in Mendham, NJ. Before joining the 40North family, Dan was the banquet chef at The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. Dan attended Morris County School of Technology, followed by Johnson and Wales University where he honed his skills and developed a unique approach to the modern American & Italian menus, consistently thrilling guests with his fun and inventive recipes.

John is a Rutgers University graduate, who’s restaurant career began as a student manager, at Brower Commons dining hall, while attending Rutgers. After graduating, he worked for T.G.I. Friday’s, where he spent the next 17 years performing at all managerial levels, culminating his tenure as General Manager, in Eatontown, NJ. John then went on to Joe’s Crab Shack, as their new store opening manager. He oversaw the successful opening of three new restaurants, including the Clifton NJ location, which set the new store opening weekly sales record for the company. John joined 40North Restaurants in 2012, where he first worked as General Manager, for the Office brand, then Piattino: A Neighborhood Bistro; and for nearly 3 years, he’s been at The Black Horse Pub.
