"A bit of Scotland brought to Mendham"

In 1970, our founder, Duncan MacKenzie, a world-renowned Pub owner from Scotland, made his way to the United States in search of a place to share his Scottish recipes. After 25 years of searching, Duncan made his way to Mendham, New Jersey. "Mendhan," he cried "oh, what a place, I feel like I'm home". Duncan, with a gleam in his eye and a warm Scottish smile, met with the folks in town. Everyone adored him and never forgot his quick humor and love of a good Scotch. Soon MacKenzie's Steak House was opened for all to enjoy.

Look around you and perhaps you will feel the presence of Duncan or maybe catch a whiff of his cigar. Regardless, Duncan is truly our inspiration and we hope you will relax, enjoy and laugh as Duncan MacKenzie's magic takes care of your every need.
